Discussion Question #4
Discussion Board Assignments
Over the course of the quarter you are required to participate in weekly classroom discussion forums. The discussion topics are based on that week’s reading assignments and are focused to help you prepare for the midterm and final essay examination questions.
After completing the module and chapter readings for the week, go to the “Discussion and Private Messages” tab on the Etudes course page and complete the assignment before the end of that week. The minimum requirement for credit in the discussion forums is three postings per discussion, per week. When you enter a discussion forum, you will see a question posted and you are required to respond with one original post and two replies to other students’ posts. While this is the minimum requirement, feel free to go beyond the base requirement and be active in the class, but please keep a balance so that you do not monopolize the conversation or have excessive postings. An acceptable post is one that reflects on the readings and makes a contribution that reflects specific information learned that week. Posts along the lines of “good job” or “I agree”
Discussion Question #4
To be successful in this class, you will not just want to complete the minimum posting and move on, you will probably want to make a good contribution and revisit the forum through the week to learn more in order to prepare you for the essay examinations. Ask questions, challenge your classmates, and get a conversation going. The discussions are numbered and there are a total of four discussion topics. There will be no discussions due during the week of the midterm and final exams.
