1. Describe the client you are going to teach, including their learning needs, and explain how you assessed the client’s learning needs.
2. Select one learning need to address in your education session. Analyse how the characteristics of this client will influence his/her learning and assess how you will tailor your teaching to those characteristics.
3. Formulate the goals and objectives of the education session. Plan how you will evaluate whether you achieved these goals and objectives.

4. Select and describe two behaviour change theories/models you will use. Justify the use of these theories/models and show how they will be applied.
5. List your teaching strategies and learning activities in a logical order, with a brief description.
6. Select the resources you will need and describe how you will use them.
7. Create a resource to use in a learning activity in your session (no more than 2 A4 pages). This is not included in the word count.
8. Create a tool for evaluating if you achieved the goal and objectives (no more than 2 A4 pages). This is not included in the word count.
9. Plan your process evaluation, ie how well you conducted your teaching session.
10. Create a Teaching Plan that summarises your session, using the template provided in the learning modules.
11. Recommend the next component of your patient/client’s learning experience.

• Meet the criteria for marking. Especially adhering to word/page limits or marks will be forfeit.
• Be grammatically correct, legible, and meet the expected academic/ professional standards for written argument.
• Meet the American Psychological Association (APA) referencing style. See APA tips supplied below.
• Use size A4 paper, with sufficient space in the right hand margin (~4 cm) and 1 ½ line spacing for the marker’s feedback comments. Times New Roman 12 font is generally the acceptable font and size.
• Show page numbering, with the assignment secured in the intended sequence.
• Include a:
o Front Cover – presenting the assignment title and your student details
o Contents page
