Advancing the Sock Test for Sitting Balance

The literature review needs to contain certain parts. I am including a
prior student’s dissertation that my paper will need to follow. I will
include my outline, it is very rough though. I will attach the Nicholson
and Parker master thesises as they will give prior information on what
has been done with the sock test. Also the article by Strand and Wei
which began the Sock Test. I will attach articles on Occupational
Adaptation which is the theory. I have additional articles on it if you
think that would be helpful let me know. My sources need to be within 7
years 5 is better. There hasn’t been much written on sitting balance.
The lit review has to focus on sitting balance and function. It can
touch on vision and falls but can’t focus on it. I will attach my
qualify exam as it has the most current that I have written, but I need
more up to date articles. They did like the direction of the qualify
exam, but I need more organization and better flow. I have more articles
on Occupational Adaptation if you need them. Other theory I will use is
Dynamic Systems Theory. She doesn’t want me to focus too much on falls
or vision, but they can be touched on. The focus needs to be on function
and sitting balance. I believe my research will be on working on the
cutoff scores for the Sock Test to determine balance issues in older
adults. I will be looking at assisted living and community dwellers,
specifically Independent Living communities.
