Disorder Paragraph: Include information (definition, symptoms, demographics, how is it diagnosed) on your disorder from the textbook and/or outside sources such as educational (end in .edu) or medical websites (such as the mayoclinic). Do not include information about the approach or treatment.

Approach Paragraph: Define key ideas involving the personality approach. Do not mention the disorder. For example if you are using the Biological Approach, pick a couple of points (e.g., Twin studies; Temperaments (e.g., Buss-Plomin model). Focus on 2-3 that you think are the most relevant or else it will be too generalized.

Explanation Paragraph: Integrate the key points in the previous paragraph in describing how the approach explains the disorder. Also, don’t introduce new terms relating to the approach that weren’t already mentioned in the “approach” paragraph. For example, don’t just start talking about hormones in this paragraph if you didn’t first introduce the term in the paragraph above.
