There are two tasks to complete to pass the whole module, task 1 and task 2.
Task 1: You will need to complete a written report totalling 500 words which must include the following:
Level 3: Task/Assessment (Task 1)
• Present an analysis of two recent health promotion campaigns which examine the impact of the campaigns on both society and the individual (1.1)
You must clearly explain in a brief introduction what health promotion is. You can include a few definitions but must also then discuss the definitions further by explaining how health promotion is important for society.
Then go on to research two recent health promotion campaigns, e.g. Jade Goody’s cervical cancer screening campaign or Jamie Oliver’s healthy school meals campaign, or a choice of your own. Analyse how effective or ineffective the campaigns have been on individuals and society in general. Discuss how the campaigns could have been improved to have greater impact, on individuals and society.

Ensure that you analyse by looking at the strengths of each campaign and how it could be improved, you can use appendices and diagrams to assist you. What was good about the campign and why, and what do you think would need improving to have a better impact. Ensure you are analysing!! Consider the target group it was aimed at and resources used. Did the message come thorugh and will people respond?
Make sure that you include a reference list at the end of your work.

Task 2: You will need to produce a campaign presentation and a 1000 word written report.

Group based work:
a) The first part of this task is to produce and submit a group PowerPoint Presentation (approximately 10 slides) which you will present in your groups w/c 06th March 2017. Your peers will review your presentations. (This resource is needed to complete task 2). You must include all of the following points:
• Using your ICT and research skills create a group health promotion campaign to raise awareness on a topic of the groups choice, for example: Sexual Health Promotion, Healthy Eating. So you are actually designing and presenting a campign to the rest of the group on a chosen area in health promotion. (10-15 mins per group with peer assessment).
In the presentation slides you need to present the actual campign but also how you developed the campaign and why to the rst of the group, include:
• The subject content of the campaign. Is the campaign, local, national or international. What is the health link?
• The reasons for choosing this campaign as an individual and future health care professionals.
• The resources and activity you will use for the campaign in detail.
• Your chosen target group and why, and assess the predicted impact on individauls and society of your campaign.
• Your health promotion campaign must include evidence of relevant health promotion theory (but will be discussed in more detail in the written report) e.g. social learning theory, health belief model, theory of reasoned action, stages of change model, theory of planned behaviour.
• Include facts/statistics/images/videos/theory/government agendas etc. Statistics can be gained off may websites so ensure a valid, health based one. (Office of National Statistics), ask about resources if unsure.
• What decisions you would have to make to ensure the campaign is a success.
• What roles you undertook in your group to develop the campaign and the presentation.
• Produce and submit a group action plan/log that describes the individual involvement of the group members in the health promotion campaign.(see next page).
